Kimberley Catholic Volunteer Service

MISSION: We are committed to promoting justice, peace and reconciliation in our land by assisting our Church in serving the needs of God’s people.

TASK: Our volunteers play an important role in enabling the Church to continue an active presence amongst the local people, both in Broome and in remote aboriginal communities.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience residing in a regional or remote community.
  • This is a ‘hands on’ role and requires physical fitness and ‘can do’ approach.
  • Experience in accommodation services, farm or station experience is desirable.


TIME COMITTMENT:  Minimum 6 months. 

CONDITIONS:  Accommodation and food provided, along with a small weekly allowance.

  • Making new friends, and learning something of aboriginal culture.
  • Supporting the presence of the Church in the Kimberley
